ندين التهجم على الرموز الدينية.باسم الأقباط المصريين، انطلاقاً من القيم المسيحية التى تحض على المحبة الخالصة واحترام معتقدات الآخرين.
كذلك انطلاقاً من الحياة المشتركة التى جمعتهم بالمسلمين المصريين مقدمة تراثاً فريداً للتعايش بين أبناء الديانتين المسيحية والاسلامية، مما مثل خبرة حية على أرض الواقع مكنتهما من التضامن والتكامل معاً فى مواجهة الأخطار والتحديات الداخلية والخارجية، وأسست لاحترام متبادل لمعتقدات كل طرف.
فإننا نرفض جملة وتفصيلاً ما نشر بإحدى الجرائد الدانمركية وجرائد أوروبية أخرى وسبب جرحاً لمشاعر أخواننا المسلمين فيما يتعلق بالرسول الكريم(صلى الله عليه وسلم).
أن موقفنا الثابت هو الرفض التام لإهانة الاسلام ورسوله الكريم والسجال الدينى الاسلامى والمسيحى المنتشر فى الوسائل الاعلامية المختلفة وصفحات الانترنت، والذى يؤدى إلى إثارة مشاعر المسلمين والمسيحين وتعزيز الفتن والنعرات الطائفية.
ونحن نهيب بالجهات المعنية أن تتدارك الأمر، وألا تخلط بين حرية التعبير والابداع وبين إهانة أى رمز من الرموز الدينية.

In the name of Egypt’s Copts and based on the Christian values that call for pure love and respect of the beliefs of others, also on the basis of the joint life between Egypt’s Christians and Muslims which provides a unique heritage of coexistence between the two faiths thus giving a real life experience that enabled the people from the two faiths to be in solidarity and integration in the face of internal and external dangers based on the mutual respect to the beliefs of each party, we completely refuse the caricatures published in a Danish newspaper and other European press which hurt the feelings of our Muslim brothers with relation to the noble prophet. Our fixed position is complete refusal of insulting Islam and its noble prophet.
We completely refuse the Christian-Muslim conflict rampant in various media and on the Internet which arouses the feelings of Muslims and Christians alike and escalates sectarian misunderstandings.
We call upon relevant entities to distinguish between the freedom of expression and creativity on the one hand and insulting any religious symbols on the other.
